My collection consists of over 460 guitars and basses. From that there are approximately 180 different brands. The following chart shows the brand name, country of origin and the number of guitars I have with that brand. Guitar manufacturer’s use multiple brand names, so many of my guitars were made by the same factory, but with different names. Many of these guitars companies originated in the United States, but have subsequently moved their factories to other countries because of cheaper labor costs, such as Mexico, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Taiwan, & China.
